Wallowa Lake Adventures

On Friday we took the day to head to Wallowa Lake with Jon and his family.  We wanted to spend the whole day there because Jon's family had never seen the lake before.  We had been looking forward to our adventure day all summer!  We left in the morning and stopped in the town of Joseph for some tourist activities.  Joseph is named for Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce Indian tribe and there is a statue commemorating him in town.  The kids stood by the statue and posed like the chief!
We had some lunch at a local Mexican restaurant and then hit the lake!  We rented a couple of paddle boats and took turns with the kids paddling around the lake.
Emma and Sam couldn't wait to get out there in the water.  It was a hot day and the water was cool and refreshing!
Aunt Nataie, Jordan, and Hinkley waited on the dock with Clara and I until it was our turn.

Even the little ones wanted in on the action!

After an hour on the lake we were hot and tired so we hit up the Matterhorn for some yummy milkshakes!
Then Uncle Jon took the big kids for a round of miniature golf.
The beautiful lake was calling for us.  The water was inviting and the kiddos were anxious to brave the cooler temperatures.
Wallowa Lake is a beautiful location and we loved getting out of town and spending time with family!  We can't wait to go back!
